Design a responsive website and A Mobile App for a local Art Gallery.
This UX case study aims to deliver an exceptional user experience for both existing and new users of an art gallery's online platform. The key goals are to expand the gallery's visibility and accessibility worldwide while ensuring compliance with e-commerce standards.
Case Study
As the survey continued to bring in more responses, we turned our focus to the competitive analysis. We took a deep dive into (9) other competitors in the gallery and exhibition business
We compared a variety of components about the companies in general (services offered, audience, locations served, etc.) along with their basic website inclusions (photo gallery, overall website feel, colors used).
We created the user persona based on the information we gathered through our research. We started to outline who these individuals may be (age, profession, location, frustrations/wants). My major role here is the users behavioral act and their wants and needs
This basically explain the processes of what margret went through, before she eventually found the kind of Artwork she was looking for, although she found it online but the experience wasn't too smooth for her, she hard to make her way to the gallery in person which was highly resourceful, and the Artwork looks better seeing it physically than online
I drafted the whole journey for margaret since had already worked one the behavior, the wants and need in user persona
Once we organised all the insights from the ideation phase, We began to design the web and app simultaneously. To start this process we began to sketch several of the site's main screens, using the user flow as a guide. This allowed us to quickly explore several concepts for the website layout. Then we tested this with 3 participant to validate whether these solutions addressed both the user and business needs
One of the basis of all the users research & analysis, I created the Hi design Prototype, Below you can find the initial explorations into how this visual style might look. I wanted the visual design to emphasis these corevalues: simplicity, creativity and tradition.
Also we created a mobile Responsivive version as well to keep in track the current trends
We tested the prototype and we got some constructive feed back from users
One of it was the navigation processes has issues, it was malfunctioning especially the buttons and they are not strategically placed according to the testing report we gathered. We went ahead and quickly correct them especially on the mobile app
